My name is Marta and I am a licensed guide in Barcelona, Catalonia and Menorca in the Balearic Islands.

I am the founder at Barnawalks and Menorcawalks.

I have been living and working in different countries and combined my passion for travelling and my job as a freelance photographer and a professional guide since I finished my first University Degree.

With a Masters Degree in Photography and Arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, a Masters Degree in Cultural Management by the UB -Barcelona University- and a Bachelor’s Degree in Advanced Tourism Studies, I have been working in the travel and tourism industry for more than 20 years.

I am an AGUICAT (Catalonia Licensed Guides Association) member.

I live and work currently in Barcelona and Menorca as a Licensed Guide by the Government of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands Government and as University Professor of Art History, Heritage and Cultural Patrimony, Gastronomy and Enology in Barcelona.

Meaning I am an expert on those subjects and can guide you in a very informative and entertaining way, plus taking you to the best spots on food and beverage, as I am considered a real foodie amongst my family and friends.

I am passionate about Catalan heritage, its people and culture and this is what I like to transmit.

Born and raised in Barcelona, he owns more than 15 years of experience guiding, explaining and advising those who want to get to know the city and its people.

Graduated in Advanced Tourism Studies at the UAB in Barcelona and updating his knowledge from time to time at the Art History School of Barcelona, he is a well of wisdom himself.

He likes to explore it on foot, by car, helicopter or, his favourite way, by bicycle. He is an expert bike rider and loves to cycle day and night.

He is passionate about art and geniuses and loves discovering hidden spots everywhere he goes.

As a good Catalan, he likes to enjoy a good after-meal conversation with a coffee and a bit of Ratafia, a traditional Catalan liqueur. Ask him about it!
